Lesson 5 of 5

Speed Building

Building Professional Speed

Now that you know all the keys, it's time to build speed! The key to faster typing is rhythm and flow, not rushing. Practice typing common words as single units, read ahead of where you're typing, and maintain a steady pace. Remember: accuracy first, speed follows.

🎵 Maintain Rhythm

Type with a steady beat, like playing music. Consistent rhythm is faster than erratic bursts of speed.

👀 Read Ahead

Train your eyes to read 2-3 words ahead of where you're typing. This allows smoother transitions.

🧠 Word Chunking

See common words as single units, not individual letters. Words like "the", "and", "for" should flow automatically.

💪 Build Endurance

Practice longer passages to build typing stamina. Speed that drops after a few sentences isn't useful.
